Samuel and Brianna both found me on social media and both submitted an enquiry at the same time. This eagerness lead them to wanting the full Avoda Studios experience, so they booked an engagement session before locking in their wedding. That time together is where our friendship really grew and by the time their wedding day arrived, photographing them felt completely effortless and organic.
They wanted something intimate, just their closest family and friends and they did it beautifully. The focus was on the people and the moments, not the noise around them.
They chose Corunna Station in the Hunter Valley as their venue, a historic property on the renowned Hermitage Road with two lovingly restored residences. The boys got ready in The Cook's House and the girls in The Homestead, both full of character and warmth. The ceremony was held at St Peter's Anglican Church in Maitland before everyone returned to Corunna Station for portraits and a relaxed reception dinner.
The afternoon brought heat and a brewing storm, but we stayed ahead of it. Working through the weather and watching the day unfold so smoothly was one of those reminders that preparation matters. Getting to meet both families, hear more of their story and genuinely celebrate them felt like a privilege. As much as I was there as a photographer, I very much felt like a guest.

Looking through our gallery genuinely made me cry. Not just because it’s our wedding, but because of how beautifully he told the story. It’s raw, it’s soft, it’s emotional, it’s everything we felt but couldn’t put into words ourselves.
Indy, you are beyond talented, but what makes you truly special is your patience, your calm energy, and the way you care so deeply about what you do and the people you’re capturing. We will treasure these photos for the rest of our lives!”
