Tahlia and Shane had a clear vision. An intimate elopement now, a full celebration in Europe later. With three guests present and a baby girl on the way, this was a day that carried a particular kind of weight.
They chose Guestlands in Arcadia, a boutique estate in Sydney's Hills District designed and built to feel like a Tuscan village. Cobblestone lanes, stone fountains, an ornamental lake and five acres of Italian-inspired gardens gave them exactly the European atmosphere they were after.
Being trusted with a ceremony this small felt like a real honour. My job wasn't just to photograph the day but to help it feel relaxed and enjoyable, and with Tahlia and Shane that came naturally. Knowing that the little girl she was carrying is set to be their flower girl at their European wedding in 2027 made the portrait session something I’ll never forget.
